Researchers carried out a laboratory experiment on mice where they were injected with various forms of diets. They divided the entire species into three groups:

The first group of mice was the control group that were fed a normal diet

The second group were given diet that consists of high fructose and high-fat diet

Last group were injected with a diet with high fructose and 2 grams of epigallocatechin-3-gallate mixed in one liter of drinking water.

The study revealed the presence of epigallocatechin-3-gallate, a catechin constituent and organically active element in green tea. This active element enhances in susceptibility of insulin in the human body. This component results in obesity and peripheral inflammation.

The mice were supervised for 115 days. The research revealed that diet containing HFFD increases the fat level that leads to increase in body weight as compared to the first group of mice. While there is a significant growth of body fat in the third category of mice who consumed a mixture of EGCG and HFFD.

Xuebo Liu, a researcher from the Northwest University of A&F said, “Water being the first component, green tea stands second that helps in proper functioning of organs. It is top second brew consumed after water that is exported by more than 30 countries.” “In olden days, intake of green tea was very common to deal with recover brain injury, obesity, and insulin confrontation.”

Epigallocatechin-3-gallate commonly called as EGCG defends our body from diseases like bone marrow illnesses, cancer drug injury, cardiovascular diseases and reduction in venomousness nature of kidney.
